Villard-Reculas is a small picturesque village located on a southern slope in the ski area Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski. Sensible policies past and present have ensured that the authenticity of the area remains well preserved. There is a strict building policy which means there are only chalets in the village and no high-rises. The ski lifts are almost invisible. This is what makes Villard Reculas a unique place to visit. Here you can enjoy peace and unspoiled nature throughout the year.You can hike, bike and enjoy stunning views of the snowy peaks of the Oisans; the Muzelle, the Col d’Ornon, the Taillefer and Belledonne mountain range.
Small Supermarket and Restaurants
This small village has everything you need right away. In the village’s small supermarket you can almost get everything you will need for your daily shopping, including your daily fresh bread, fresh cheese and delicious meats and a newspaper. There is a sports shop where you can rent or purchase the latest ski equipment. There is a hotel / restaurant, a bar / restaurant. Of course, there is also a charming restaurant on the slopes, which is also open in summer for lunch and dinner.

The Tourist Office can provide any information about what is happening in the village and in the surrounding area. They organize the tourist periods activities and entertainment, from walks to evening parties. At the office, you can also borrow tennis rackets and tennis balls if you want to use the village tennis court. You can also play badminton and table tennis free of charge.
